Vernell (Sanderson) Hiller

Vernell Hiller, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed on to her eternal home in glory on June 20th, 2022 at 7:30am.  

Vernell Hiller was born on February 16, 1942 in Shamrock, Texas. Vernell married Roy Melvin Hiller, on August 9, 1959 in Shamrock, Texas.  Vernell and Roy went on to have 3 children Tommy, Tammy, and Sandy.  Vernell worked at Levi Straus as a seamstress, and later as a cake decorator until she retired.  Vernell enjoyed serving in her church, Triumphant Truth, gardening, and traveling with friends and family. 

Vernell was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Melvin Hiller. Her parents Bud and Ollie Sanderson. Her sisters Velma Welch, Hazel Gillispie, Mattie Holman, and brothers, Bobby and Junior Sanderson.  One granddaughter, Ariel Ross and Her best friend and companion Red. 

Vernell is survived by her children Tommy Hiller, wife Barbara, of Amarillo, Texas, Tammy Mann, husband Greg, of Del Norte, Colorado, and Sandy Hiller of Amarillo, Texas. Five Grandchildren, Jay, BillyJo, Angela, Sandy, and Chelsi, and a host of great grandchildren, and other relatives.
