Cecil Eugene O'Kelley

                Cecil Eugene O'Kelley, 96, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2023, at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Ronald Boyer of South Lawn Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Amarillo.

                Cecil was born on December 25, 1926, in Sayre OK to Charles Cooper and Olive Bouton O’Kelley. He was in the army and stationed in Japan just after the end of WWII. After the army, he went to work for AT&T and was working in Plainview when he found and married the love of his life, Raye O'Kelley on September 1, 1957, in Plainview at Boswell Baptist Church and they were married for sixty-two years. Cecil loved being a phone man and worked for AT&T for 40 years and after retiring he went to work as the phone man at Pantex for another 15 years. He was a loved father, husband, uncle, and brother! 

He was preceded in death by his wife Raye O’Kelley, brother Charles O’Kelley, and sister Fern Toler. 

                He is survived by three sons, Gary O'Kelley, Larry O'Kelley, and Kelly O'Kelley; five grandchildren, Dawson Miller, Noah Miller, Chloe Miller, Sachin Gordhan, and Hriday Gordhan; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
